Recent UK and US Conferences and Slides

It's been a very busy few months for me, speaking at various conferences in the US and UK. These included the following:

February 23rd-25th ATP Conference in Palm Springs, CA
In Palm Springs Jason Altman from the National Center on Edcuational Outcomes and I spoke about large scale assessment of English Language Learners (ELLs).
Our presentation is available to download (pdf, 3mb), or below. There is some particularly interesting research about ELLs presented in the first half of the presentation.

March 18th & 19th eAssessment Question Conference in London
On the first day I spoke about Mobile Assessment, which included a demo of our Voice Chat application live in the room with 40 people participating. The second day I spoke about our experiences doing large scale accessible assessment in New South Wales.
April 3rd & 4th Association for Language Learning's Language World 2009 in the University of Leicester
At Language World, I gave a seminar to UK based language teachers. The title of the session was "Use of mobile phones for spoken language learning" and again outlined the results of our recent Irish and Australian language learning projects.
