Voice Response

Voice Response allows students dial into the system students and be presented with a series of question prompts. The student responds to the question verbally, and their answers are automatically saved for review by the teacher. Teachers can then log-in to the teachers website to review students responses and give marks and feedback.

The student can access this feedback through the student website, podcasts, or feedback booklet which can be emailed or printed out by teachers as required.

When used for language learning, Voice Response is an ideal way for students to practice and teachers to assess oral and aural skills in any language. The technology enables students to perform conversations on the phone which teachers can review via the web. Oral and aural homework can be completed this way.

It is suitable for use in 'High Stakes Exams' as well as for practice and general assessments.

How it works

  1. The student dials into the Learnosity system
  2. The student enters their Student ID and PIN
  3. The student listens to a question asked in the language being assessed
  4. Student answers the question in the same language
  5. Their answer is played back to the student, if they are happy with it they press 1 otherwise press 2 to re-record the answer
  6. Repeat process from step 3 until all questions have been asked and the test is completed.
