The graph below relates to a project undertaken by The Le@rning Federation who used Learnosity Voice in schools across three Australian states. The project targeted 250 (primarily Year 9 and 10) students learning the Indonesian language.
The results showed that the students, who took conversation tests at the beginning and end of the project, made significant improvements in their Indonesian language skills. An increase of 11% in the average student score between tests taken before and after the project. The rise in test scores was particularly notable in weaker students. In certain schools the improvement was more significant, as shown below.

Our customers have seen consistent improvements in student grades when using Learnosity Voice.
"One (student) explained this improvement as knowing what most of the questions meant without checking it."

We know that students who use Learnosity Voice are more likely to want to do their homework and practice their spoken language skills.
By bringing home and school work online and onto the phone the activity becomes more fun, relevant and less like 'work' to the student.
The Irish National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) used Learnosity to power a three phase project based around teaching of the Irish language (an Gaeilge).
Reports from the first phase of the project showed that 95% of students enjoyed using the technology and reported increased competence and Irish speaking ability.
The motivation to practice language skills using Learnosity Voice was clearly shown in the usage patterns during the project:
Speaking about the same project, students described the experience as "fun", "interesting", "different" and "new" and also said that the project improved their pronunciation of Irish language.
The second phase of the NCCA project, FÓN, told us that 88% of students said that they had enjoyed using Learnosity Voice for learning and practising Irish. Teachers, when asked about how the student's enjoyment levels had changed, reported that before the project 14% of students really enjoyed learning Irish, 36% enjoyed learning Irish and 43% thought that Irish was ok. After using Learnosity Voice during the project these figures changed to 13% really enjoy learning Irish and a phenomenal 88% enjoy learning Irish.
"We’re the talk of the school. Everyone’s talking about 10J and their phones. Some very positive feedback from parents today. Everyone [was] on last night at 7.00 and I had them 1st period today and they were still hyper. Great to see the enthusiasm."

Students can tend to lack the confidence to speak up because they are afraid of making mistakes in front of their peers.
Learnosity Voice gives students the unique opportunity to work in a virtual one to one environment without any potential pressures that some students experience from speaking in front of a class.
Our customers have shared with us that Learnosity Voice has been particularly beneficial building the confidence of students who traditionally do not engage in class activities. This change has been particularly evident in male students.
During the second phase of the NCCA FÓN project students became more confident with speaking Irish and 78% of them reported speaking and using more Irish than before the project.
" blown away by improved confidence. Not afraid to speak in front of others."

We understand that teachers everywhere do not have time or resources in abundance.
Our tools are designed with teachers in mind allowing you to use your time and efforts more effectively. We enable you to have virtual one-to-one time with students that you can review at your convenience.
You set the questions from your computer, the student discovers them with a simple phone call and we record their responses for you to review online.
Teachers that have used Learnosity Voice have shared with us some thoughts on how Learnosity Voice has helped them:
Teachers appreciated the new and more interactive way to provide feedback to students and suggested that Learnosity Voice allowed them more contact time with each student, especially those who would usually be quieter in class. Furthermore, teachers noted that students showed improved self-esteem and confidence in speaking Irish.
"It is the best way I have seen of assessing their oral work."
