Learnosity Connect

Brings together students in the same classroom and across the globe.

Language teachers often ask students to talk amongst each other in class to practice spoken skills.  It's impossible though for teachers to listen into each of these conversations and give feedback.

We have come up with a unique tool that enables recorded student to student spoken conversations called Learnosity Connect.

So how does it work?

• From a computer the students are matched up easily by the teacher on a random basis or based on grade, ability, location etc.
• The instructions for the conversation are set by the teacher.   This may be a role play or a topic for discussion that is current and relevant.
• Students use their phones or Skype on a computer to join up with their conversation partner.
• The conversation starts and ends at a time allotted by the teacher.
• All of the conversation is recorded and stored securely by Learnosity.
• At their convenience teachers can listen to all of the pre-recorded conversations online and leave feedback for the students.

Example

A classroom full of students all use their phones to call in at the same time. They login and press 2 to access Learnosity Connect.  Each student gets a different prompt:

• Student 1: "Imagine you are in Paris and want to go to the Eiffel Tower.  Ask the hotel receptionist for directions."
• Student 2: "Imagine you are working in a hotel and someone will ask you for directions."
