Do I need a special phone?

To use Learnosity Voice you can use either a mobile phone or a landline (home phone).

All you need is a basic phone that supports talking – it’s that simple.

What if Phones are not allowed in the school?

In the past some schools have altered policy to allow students use their mobiles during langauge classes, as directed by their teacher.  Alternatively, in a school where mobile phones are not permitted within the school grounds, teachers often use our products as a homework tool.

How do you verify that the student is who he/she claims to be?

Currently Learnosity cannot 100% guarantee the identity of the respondents at the other end of the phone line.  Every effort is made to inhibit cheating by providing unique usernames and access codes to each individual candidate, however in the case of summative assessment Learnosity recommend that candidates take the exam under supervised conditions.

In order to further enhance the current security of the Learnosity system, particularly for use in high stakes summative assessment, we are investigating the use of voice printing as an identification biometric. We hope this will be available shortly.

Does it Work?

Quite simply; yes it does.

Just take a look at our Case Studies and you’ll see that independant research, trials and pilot projects have all concluded that using Learnosity Voice does improve language competency, student motivation and student confidence.

The solutions deliver increased one-to-one time for teachers and students.  Teachers talk about previously quiet students flourishing from using Learnosity Voice.

Teachers find it more fun too!  Listening to students speak instead of correcting copybooks makes a welcome and interesting change for many.
